Parents can book spaces on the Breakfast and After School club using the MCAS app. MCAS is the app that deliveres all school messages and enables parents to also pay for school trips and events.

Breakfast is served during the first session only (7:45 – 8:15am)
Afternoon snack is served around 3:45pm – 4:00pm.

Sessions must be booked in advance and paid for using the MCAS app.
There is no provision to turn up and pay on the day.
Cancellation with less than 48 hours notice will not be refunded.

Booking
Booking is really simple. Please use the MCAS app to book a space on the Breakfast and After School Club.
All bookings must be made in advance.

Breakfast
A healthy breakfast is served which includes a choice of cereal, toast, spreads and yogurts.

Afternoon Snack
At 4pm the children will be served a light snack e.g toast, crumpets.

Opening dates
The breakfast club and after school club will open on the days where the school is open for all children. The breakfast club and after school club will not run during holiday time or PD days. A copy of the club dates is below.

Voucher schemes
There are a number of voucher schemes that the school accepts. Please contact the school office for the reference id's etc.

Ages
The club caters for Reception children through to Year 6.
However, we would strongly advise that Reception children are settled in their mainstream class before parents explore this extra provision. If children have experienced wraparound care prior to joining Rushmere, this will not be an issue.

Support
The club is not able to offer 1:1 support. Your child will need to be independent and able to eat breakfast with minimal help. Excellent behaviour is expected at all times.

At 9am:
The children will be escorted to their classes by the Breakfast Club staff members. Any messages given by parents to Breakfast Club staff will be passed on to the class teacher/relevant adult.

At 3:25pm:
Children from EYFS and KS1 will be collected by a member of club staff. Children in KS2 will make their way to the club by themselves.

Drop off & Pick up
Entry and exit for the club will be through the side door to the North Hall (see map). Press the door bell and a member of staff will meet and greet.

Policies

Key policies will be included here.

Communication

As the club is a school-based club, the club leaders will have access to MCAS in order to make contact with parents. Information will be shared between the Breakfast Club, After School Club and the school.

Staffing & Supervision

All club instructors are employed here at school. They have all received school safeguarding training and know most of the children from their day-to-day roles. We have been keen to ensure staff from the school are utilised as this was something that was identified in the parent questionnaire and it means that messages/information and communication is shared seamlessly from the breakfast club to the school.

Ratios are dependant on pupil numbers. Most sessions are fixed to ensure that we have appropriate levels of supervision for each session.
