Personal Development
At Rushmere Hall Primary School we strive to provide every child with a wide, broad range of opportunities that develop their character, broaden their horizons and make them a fully rounded global citizen. We are determined to ensure that every child leaves Rushmere Hall Primary School with the skills they need to succeed, not just for their next stage of learning, but for the rest of their lives.
Our PSHE and RSE curriculum cover all of the statutory objectives along with the online safety content delivered in our Computing curriculum. For us though, Personal Development is much more than the content we deliver in those lessons. It is the opportunities we provide children to develope their personal skills meaning they are ready to take on the world.
Our PD map below is an attempt to try and capture the massive amount of things we do to develop the personal skills of our pupils.
The consultation on the school's SRE policy was completed in March 2020.
Parental choice in religious education
Parents and carers have the right to withdraw their child from all or part of Religious Education (RE). If you wish to exercise this right, please contact the school office to discuss your preference.
Please note that withdrawing your child from RE will not affect their access to other curriculum subjects.
